3rd BEF Standard Operating Procedures

Rules Of Engagement

  • The only time you may engage enemies is when the enemies are properly identified as armed personnel. ALWAYS PID your targets, civilians can be friendly one minute and enemies the next.

  • DO NOT use high explosives inside/near cities or highly populated areas.

  • When Implaced Explosive Devices (IEDs) are identified they MUST be defused or safely detonated. DO NO LEAVE AN IED UNATTENDED FOR A CIVILIAN TO KILL HIMSELF ON!

  • Leadership will identify proper use of force to be utilized during operations/patrols.

  • DO NOT engage enemies alone, announce locations of said enemies and wait for team/squad to engage together (unless taking fire).

  • Do not engage religious buildings at all unless fired upon, even when fired upon do not use high explosives.

  • Do NOT kill civilians under any CIRCUMSTANCE. However, civilians have been known to start rebellions so PID your targets.

Objective Engagement

  • Only engage hideouts every week unless no intel is available to locate the hideout.

  • Ammo caches are fair game, preferably have at least four members online.

  • Patrols are to be conducted regularly, remember if the civilians do not like us our lives will be harder (IEDs, Suicide bombers, ISIS members in towns).

Recovery/Engineers/QRF

  • If vehicles are damaged or left behind the team who had command of the vehicle must sit with it (unless injured) until a recovery team can arrive on scene.

  • If the repair is minor and can be fixed quickly then do so, if the damage is extensive the recovery team must return to base (RTB) to fully repair the vehicle.

  • When calling for the recovery team over the radio (Long Range 57.0) specify the damage and how many broken tracks/damaged tires.

  • QUICK REACTION FORCE (QRF) will consist of a small team comprised of a medic, and engineer, an automatic gunner, and a team leader.
